Known for her stunning use of color and beautiful brushwork, Cathleen Rehfeld’s paintings are perennial favorites both in the Gorge and across the region. A long-time, dedicated painter and teacher, Cathleen’s processes are straightforward. Working either in the studio or en plein air, she starts small, collecting information on composition, color, and even the weather – anything that will inform the larger works. From there, the ideas move into the studio for consideration and rendering.
